Sara and Mikes wedding

April 24th-26th 2012

Mom and I went to AZ for my sweet little Sara's wedding. It truly was a magical, spiritual week! One I know I will never forget!  We arrived Tuesday night, just in time for dinner. Cristal had invited the whole family over so it was so wonderful to see everyone. They are so sweet. All of them. Its so crazy that all my nieces and nephews are all having their babies now. They are all so sweet. Rex was singing songs and dancing and being a little ham. He is seriously so cute. Hayden was a little princess and had cheeks I couldn't stop munching on. Whitney had her baby about 6 weeks ago so it was so so wonderful that she was there. Her little angel baby was so sweet. He was the yummiest little baby. It was really stinking cute to see Max with Hayden. He just loves that little girl. He never put her down. He took care of her. It was so sweet to see tough Max being a softy with his princess.

Wednesday was the endowment for both Sara and her hubby Mike. It was so special. To see the countenance change was so special. You could see Mike looking at her with so much love. The spirit was so strong that day I could't stop choking up the whole time through. The endowment is so amazing and the blessings we are promised are so special its wonderful to see someone else feel that and get it too. Mike really adores her. He cried throughout a lot of it. And when he got to "take her through" at the end, he cried like a baby. It was so sweet to see. Both of their hearts were changed that day. I could see it. What an amazing endowment. We went to lunch after. yummy food. That night was the rehearsal dinner. It was outside and it was a gorgeous night. Mikes parents talked a bit about how all 6 of their kids were adopted and how it all came to be. That was really cool. He definitely has wonderful parents. His mom and sister made up a song about Mike and Sara's courtship. It was so funny and cute. Uncle Chad sang a beautiful Brad Paisley song and made us all cry. "I thought I loved you then" I couldn't help think that before the endowment Mike thought he couldn't love Sara any more than he did but yet after just one day he came out loving her so much more so as the song was playing I was thinking how sweet and tender it all was. Magical Im telling you.

Thursday was the sealing. It was a gloomy morning and by 1030 it was an all out rainstorm. But by 12:30 it was clear skies. Crazy. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day. The weather was gorgeous and the evening was so nice. The sealing was at 2:15. Grandpa Perkinson was the sealer. He did such a wonderful job. It was so heartfelt and special. You could see Mike and Sara just so happy. Sara looked absolutely incredible. She was a gorgeous gorgeous bride.  We went to the reception that night. It was so beautiful. The venue is incredible. So many of their friends and family came to support them. They weren't to brutal in cutting the cake. :) Not like my hubby shoving it all up my nose. There wasn't to much dancing, but there was one dance Ill never forget. I got to dance with the groom. I asked him how the day had gone and how he was feeling. He said he had never been happier. That it was all so wonderful that he couldn't believe all this was happening to him. He said (and Ill never forget) all of this, as he looked around the reception, means nothing after what has happened the last 2 days, it just doesn't matter. I could feel the spirit so strong as he said that. It was such a neat experience for me. It was an amazing 3 days for sure. Bonding with  my family, the memories that were made, I really cherish that so much. The only thing that could have made the weekend complete was if my 2 boys would have been there.
Thanks Mike and Sara for letting me be apart of your amazing wedding week!! I LOVE YOU BOTH so much!!
