Senior Roast and Toast

We had such an amazing night tonight.
Our ward has such a wonderful tradition for our graduating seniors. Its called The Senior Roast and Toast. The parents get up and say funny things and then a little embarrassing stuff and then sweet make you cry stuff. Its the best. Well tonight we had 7 seniors graduating. Sabrina Meek, Sara Driggs and Josie Gubler for the girls.  Then there was my boys. Connor, Carlan, Kade and Troy. Connor, Carlan and Kade have been such a big part of our lives.  They call me Momma Grimmett and I love it! They were at our house so much when they were a bit younger. (We also have our Tate (Tater Tott) Roberts that is on his mission right now... We've done so many things with them. Dinners and bike rides and scout camps. But the best thing is that they have been so wonderful to Jeremy. They always treat him like a little brother. They play with him and tease him and goof off with him. Its the cutest thing to see. Jeremy loves them so much. After the parents said all there stuff there was a slide show of all the kids. So cute to watch. Jeremy was in a few and even "Momma Grimmett" was in one on a bike ride we did a few years ago. The whole thing was really sweet. When we got home Jeremy said "mom, I felt the spirit when we were watching the slide show"  He said he was going to go on a mission. Then he came in crying saying how much he was going to miss the boys. He wants to write them everyday while they are gone he said. He just kept crying for a long time. I went in and talked to him for a bit then Mike went in and talked to him for about 30 min. He kept crying saying how much he was going to miss them. We finally got him calm, said family prayers and got him to bed. He came back in my room crying. And he was crying hard. He said he really was going to miss the boys. He asked if we could have a prayer. We called Daddy in. Mike asked if Jer would like him to say the prayer. Jer said no Ill say it. He prayed for several minutes for the those boys. All while crying he prayed that they would all be safe, and that they would find people who wanted to be baptized, and that their families would be safe and for them to always have the spirit to be with them and for them to have success.  It was the absolute sweetest prayer I have heard.  I cried through the whole thing. He is such a sweet amazing kid.

Our family just loves these boys so much. There is also Carson, Tates little brother who is so sweet to Jeremy. He will be the only one left to look out for Jeremy. I am truly grateful for these boys and the sweet kindness that they have brought to us. We will miss them so much!
