Meeting Kelsey Nixon

Today was one of the greatest days!! I got to meet one of my all time favorite Chefs Kelsey Nixon. I can't tell you how excited I was!!  She was the absolute sweetest!!  She was doing a book signing at Deseret Book and I was the first one there. I really wanted to get there early so I could talk to her for a minute. I really wanted to let her know how much she has helped me learn how to cook. Her meals were so wonderful, easy, and my boys loved all of them. Her sweet, kindness coming into my home everyday has really meant something. I brought her a little Bumble and Bumble travel bag, she loved it :)
She was kind and thanked me for supporting her. As other people came and talked I talked with her Aunt Linda. She was so kind and sweet. We talked for about 30 min. I felt like we were long lost friends.

When I got home I emailed her and told her how great she was and how much I appreciated her.

This is what she wrote back:

Hi Jen,

it was SUCH a pleasure to meet you in Las Vegas! I can't thank you enough for coming out and making me feel so supported. It means the world to me and I'm incredibly grateful for it.

Also, I can't thank you enough for the Bumble & Bumble products! I'm such a fan and it was such a luxury to have used them on the road the past few days. That was so so kind of you!

I let my sister know you relation to Whitney and she just raved about her. We actually have been looking to move into the building that Whitney lives in to be closer to my sister! What a small, small world it is!

Keep it touch - it was so lovely to meet you!

xoxo,

Kelsey

I was so excited to get an email back from her!! So sweet!

It turns out that her Aunt Linda that I talked to was Melanies good friend Tayas mom. And her sister is dear friends with my Whitney.  Such a small world.

I know its a little silly for a 35 year old woman to get this excited about something like this but I was,  and she really helped me and changed me when I needed it!
