Kim and I decided to take the kids on a last minute trip to the Gilbert Temple open house. It was the last weened so we knew we better go. It just so happened that the kids were out of school Friday for a teacher inservice meeting so we grabbed the kids straight from school Thursday and headed out. We stayed at Mark and Cristall's house so it was perfect. Kim drove, we split gas and food so the trip cost practically nothing. We got in about 930 that night, we talked and the kids played with uncle Mark for a while. We went to bed and got up early. Cristall made us waffles with strawberries and cream. So yummy. Then we showered and headed out by 10:00. Our time was 10:45 but there were so many people in line I don't think they were even caring about tickets. We went and watched a quick video and met our tour guide. He was awesome!! He told us so many things about the temple. His daughter in law grew up in Vegas and I had met her a few times. He told us all about the agave imprint and how it was on everything in the Temple. And that every mirror had one right across from it to show the never ending love Christ has for eternity. How the carpet in the celestial room was traced and carved out by hand. This temple is one of the most beautiful temples Ive seen. I LOVED it. The kids were so good. I didn't even have to tell Jeremy to stop. It was a really neat experience. As soon as we were done we met all my girls for lunch. Sarah, Alysha, Crystal and Kinzi came. We had a delicious burger, changed clothes in the car and headed home. It was Valentines day so we figured we better head home to our husbands. Im super glad we went.
